The pressure for change and teachers’ motivation for PD

At the beginning of the 90’ies the upper secondary education in Denmark was under a strong pressure. It still had the organization and the content demand from earlier decades despite a huge increase in students – and students with a new sociality.
What motivates teachers to participate in development projects, involving experimental teaching? And what does the nature of pressure for change means for the engagement of the teachers?
